アキヤマ香のマンガを原作とした本作のテーマは妄想×グルメ。出版社のマンガ編集部員で“コロ”と慕われる所まどかが、思いを寄せる営業部員・八角直哉に近付くべく、彼と同じものを食べて追体験するさまを描くラブコメディだ。続編では、前作で結ばれたかのように見えたコロと八角の恋の行方を、原作にはないオリジナルストーリーで描く。。Story of an inventor who, suffering betrayal in life, makes a career of it by becoming a clown whose act consists of getting slapped by all the other clowns. He falls in love with another circus performer, and those who betrayed him enter his life yet again.。
