離羽田機場不太遠的東京大田區的下町有著各式各樣的氛圍，有一間以漫畫為中心的舊書店「九十九堂」，店的主人是九十九櫻(52)。 舊書店的深處有一個稱為“たまりば”的房間，在那裡聚集無處可去的人。於是，主人櫻會深入探究，請吃免費的親子丼，空腹被滿足的人，開始一點一滴對櫻訴說自己的事。。故事发生在1983年，绝望的吸毒上瘾者Dick遇见了久违的前遇有Bug。Bug由于长期在监狱，请求Dick给他补习80年代的新音乐知识、新社会知识以及介绍他从没见过的自动取款机。在这个过程中，绝望中的Dick也想起一个谋生的好点子。（。Centers on the Kilcher family and their community outside Homer, Alaska. Led by patriarch Atz Kilcher, singer Jewel's father, the family have lived on their land for three generations.
